My interest in the media grows from my passion for visual storytelling. Since a young age, my curiosity about the world has fueled entire dimensions within my imagination. In my experience, visual development, storyboard, and animation have best helped me share my stories with others because of the strength of its visual cues to create a connection with the audience. For me, Steven Universe is a particularly relevant example not only for embracing LGBTQ relationships and body positivity but also for its discussion on mental health in episodes like "Mindful EduMiddle aged Euro-American. I'm especially interested in this event because of my ADHD diagnosis and because I want to be one of the storytellers who can inspire those with disabilities. For example, I created several characters with physical and mental disabilities when developing personal projects. I believe that stories about and including disabled characters are possible and that they do not have to resort to existing tropes.
